Abstract

The prosthodontics revolution, which reinstated oral function, enhanced aesthetics, and improved patient satisfaction, contains removable dentures as one of its vital parts. Materials and methods: This study examined a group of patients who sought prosthetic treatment to determine the factors that influence partially extended dentition treatment decisions, treatment solutions, and removable prosthesis design. Results: A retrospective study was carried out, including 546 patients who addressed the Dental Faculty in Iasi’s Department of Partial Dentures. According to this study, the palatal plate was the most popular maxillary major connection, followed by the U-shaped connector. This result may assist in assessing the quality of removable partial dentures provided to patients. Conclusions: Future advancements in digital dentistry and 3D printing may facilitate the creation of customized connection designs adapted to individual requirements, while heightened understanding of gender-specific tendencies might enhance treatment outcomes.
